Part-Time Music Teacher

Responsibilities

Plan and facilitate musical activities and lessons for grades K-8th. Additionally, the teacher is responsible for two performances per year. One involves just grades 1st-5th and the second is either a play or musical involving grades 6th-8th. This position also includes one supervisory duty each day in either the lunchroom or on the playground.

The days and times are fairly flexible and could range from two full days to 2.5 days per week.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of music and music appreciation is the core knowledge for this position. This teacher should be able to pivot from one grade level to another, manage classroom behaviors, and establish expectations for a wide range of abilities and ages.

Education & Experience: Musical background is preferred, willingness to share musical talents with others is a must. Nebraska teacher certification or the ability to acquire the appropriate certification is required.
